Bachelor Studies

Our faculty provides bachelor study programme Mechanical Engineering (B0715A270009) in English language. Studying in English, unlike studying in the Czech language, is subject to a fee.

The standard duration of this programme is three years. The academic title „Bachelor“(“Bc. “, in front of the name) is awarded upon graduation by passing the state final examination, including the defence of the Bachelor thesis. Bachelor degree (Bc.) is equivalent to B. Sc. or B.A.

Master Studies

There is currently no follow-up master study program open at our department. Preparations are currently underway, and we will keep you updated here as soon as there are any changes. Our faculty offers the following Master's degree programs taught in English: Innovation and Industrial Engineering (N0788A270005) and Machines and Equipment Design (N0715A270018).

Doctoral Studies

Our department provides  doctoral study programme Technologies and Materials (P0788D270001) in English language. Studying in English, unlike studying in the Czech language, is subject to a fee. We can reimburse part of the fee costs in the form of a merit, creative or extraordinary scholarship if you achieve extraordinary academic results and fulfil the conditions set out in the TUL Scholarship Regulations and the directive of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The standard duration of this programme is four years. By successfully passing the state doctoral examination and defending the dissertation, the graduate receives the academic degree "Doctor" - abbreviated Ph.D. after the name.  

Our department's specializations are closely related to materials science and technological processes for the treatment of metals/alloys and plastics/composites. The primary areas of focus include Casting, Welding, Metal Forming, and Polymer Processing. Internships

In addition to traditional studies, we provide opportunities for both short-term and long-term research internships. These can be co-funded based on faculty resources through the mobility fund or various European programs such as Erasmus+, CEEPUS, and others.
